Welcome, unfortunate traveler, to The Blog Without a Face, your one-way ticket to the dark, twisted, and occasionally ridiculous corners of horror. I’m Mr. November—no, not the sad indie song, but the faceless fiend behind every word you’ll read here. Think of me as your eerie, trench-coated guide through the fog-drenched alleyways of horror cinema, literature, and all the blood-soaked nonsense in between. I consume the terrifying so you don’t have to (but let’s be honest, you probably will anyway). So grab a flashlight, maybe a stiff drink, and prepare to dive headfirst into the abyss. I promise, it only mostly stares back. Our core contributors who will guide you through the horror include the following:

Elias Crone
Odessa Fenn
Benny Marsh
Wren Holloway

Art is always challenging to rate, but the reality is not everything we like should really be scored as four or five stars. That being said, our ratings may seem a bit harsh, but please keep in mind that we would recommend anybody check out what is scored a 7 or higher:

  • 10. Masterpiece: Genre-defining. Extremely rare.
  • 9. Near-masterpiece: Daring, original, nearly flawless.
  • 8. Excellent: Unique voice or vision. Weird, ambitious, and memorable.
  • 7. Strong:Well-crafted, with distinctiveness or impact. Something we’d recommend often.
  • 6. Good: Competent, enjoyable, but not exceptional. Some originality, but not fully realized.
  • 5. Average: Flawed or forgettable. Not bad, but not notable.
  • 4. Below Average: Weak writing, cliches, or poor execution holding it back.
  • 3. Poor: Actively frustrating, derivative, or boring.
  • 2. Very Bad: Amateurish, incoherent, or deeply flawed.
  • 1. Trash Fire: Utter failure. Possibly offensive, unreadable/unwatchable, or both.
